Introduction

Movie: Die Hard 2 (1990)

Preliminary Task #2

  1. My team worked very well together. There not many disagreements just a great deal of different opinions. We were mostly helpful with trying to make the best clip we could. We should have worked on it for more then three days. With more time the quality of the video would have been better. I would rate it a 8/10.
  2. One person from the group made a group chat and we all decided when we were going to meet up and work on it. We are all in a class together so we also worked while we were there. We should have used our time in class more for preparing and then use the time out of class to only film. Us meeting up together and working on the clip was not the problem. The only problem was choosing the right time.
  3. We only encountered one difficulty and it was that since we were filming at night the mosquitoes were very hard to deal with, especially since we were in a small forest. We overcame that problem by making sure that every shot was going to be used and everything had to be done correctly.
  4. I personally did not edit but I know that the process of cutting, uploading, and transitioning every clip to put it to one film is time consuming.
  5. We prepared by talking loudly when we filmed. Even though most of the shots were done with no dialogue.
  6. I would take more time to do it, have an adequate camera, choose the right time, and the best place possible. This clip was made in a short amount of time because we never found the right time to work on it and we always had new ideas.
  7. I like the idea of the video and what we made with such little equipment. With more experience, more people, and more equipment I think that we could make a very well made short movie.

Chase the Bag

This movie is of an ex-criminal(Charles) that agrees to do one more job for Ursula(Lola). As soon as she gives him the bag they have a small talk and both walk away from each other. Then a mysterious man goes behind Ursula and kills her by chocking her. The man turns around and screams at (Charles) to stop. They both start running and David(Diego) chases (Charles). The chase lasts a couple of seconds in the movie until (Charles) falls out of a tree and David sees him.

  4. How did you integrate technologies- software, hardware and online- in this project?

Preliminary Task #1

Our first task was to create a short film with our group. We had to use all the camera angles that we could. Our group had three people, one was the cameraman and the other two were the actors. I created the story board. I drew how I thought the scenes would be and in what order I thought was best.

This task was done in two days while we I was at school. My group and I took about two hours and half to complete it. We discussed several different movie ideas and figured out which would be the best in order to finish it in 1 minute or a little more. The short movie was suppose to be dramatic and a bit of a thriller. Not much can be done in one minute but it is enough to make something acceptable. Several different types of shots were used to complete this movie.

American Sniper

My Favorite movie is American sniper. The way they portray Chris Kyle’s life is exactly the way he was.

My name is Diego; I am a senior at Mast Academy. I decided to take a Media Studies class because of the interest that I have always had on the subject. I always wondered how some scenes were done and how much time it usually takes to make a film. A great deal of life skills can be learned by knowing how to make anything in media studies correctly.

Hello! Welcome to my film blog. Throughout this year I will be posting everything that I do in my Media Studies class on here. I am sure that it will be a very eventful year and I look forward to it. You will be able to read all of the work I post about the movies, advertisements, newspapers, etc. that I will analyze.
